Our home is a large, relaxing family home with a panoramic view on to the mountain. The house prides itself on having luxury amenities to combine a wide range of needs from those looking for a peaceful, idyllic experience to those who wish to keep in touch with the 21st Century. It offers both rustic charm and modern essentials including internet access, Apple TV, fire stick, printer and hot tub.
Our home is located on Golden Avenue approximately 10m from the ski-in/ski-out trail to the Day Lodge/ Gondola. It is also situated near to the resort facilities including restaurants, shops and general store.
The main floor has a sunken living room with a wood burning stove. The views across the mountain and valley are an ideal place for entertaining. There is a well stocked modern kitchen with professional appliances.
Relax in the large private hot tub and enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery. Other superb amenities include, high speed Starlink internet including wi fi, BBQ, Washer/Dryer.

First Floor comprises:
• A large open plan living space including living room, kitchen and dining area plus half bathroom.
Second Floor comprises:
• Master Bedroom: King Size bed (sleeps 2) and ensuite.
• Bedrooms #2: Queen Size bed. (sleeps 2)
• Bed room #3: The bedroom has bunk beds with the bottom bunk queen size and top double. (sleeps 3/4)
• Second Bathroom
Loft Space Above Garage which is perfect as a granny or in-law suite comprises:

Ground Floor comprising:

Activities: Skiing: The resort has one of the longest vertical drops in Canada and 2,750 acres of big mountain terrain. Try the Eagle’s Eye Restaurant on the summit. Cross Country Skiing is accessible at the rear of the chalet- 20 km of maintained trails at the Dawn Mountain Nordic Ski Area.
Summer is also full of activity including mountain biking, hiking, white water rafting, horse back riding and xgolf.

Summary: Stayed at this house with some college friends for our annual ski trip. The house is beautiful and the kitchen is brilliantly stocked with everything you need. Plenty of space for a group of 10. The hot tub was a welcomed feature after a day on the slopes. It was one of the nicest ski homes i ever stayed in. No question.Unfortunately for us our timing couldn't have been worse as half the mountain was shut down due to the gondola having issues and it wasn't operating. This wasn't the owners fault, obviously, but we made the best of it by driving to Lake Louise for two days (about an hour east). We did ski KH for one day (bottom third of the mountain) and some in the group hiked an hour up to the one chair that reached the summit. The upper mountain is breathtaking with some serious terrain!They only draw back to Kicking Horse (and not the house) is that the town of Golden doesn't have much to offer in terms of restaurants. This wasnt too big of a deal because we hired a chef to cook for us one night and the other evenings we cooked burgers and steaks on the grill. If you're a big time skier or boarder, Kicking Horse is your type of place. If you're looking for more of a social scene after the slopes it may not be your type of place. . fanyway wit. annual
